Of course, for $12, this necklace is not going to be sterling silver or be set with real gemstones. The charm and 18-inch textured cable chain necklace is silver toned, which means it’s made from some sort of base metal such as aluminum or nickel. The charm is pave-set with ‘sparkly jewels’ which is more than likely code for glass or crystals. Pave-set means many stones are set very close together which both hides the metal in which they are set and gives off flashes of light.
Versatile, it comes with a two-inch extender, so it can be worn with a variety of different necklines. However, the jewelry wearer should be cautioned that depending on the base metal, wearing it against the skin could cause the necklace to discolor faster than it would if worn on cloth.
